Audiophile File Format

Share

What is audiophile file format? It's lossless (bit perfect) only: compresed or not.

Bit perfect is feature of comressed lossless audio files:

       uncompressed lossless file full (bit-to-bit) is identical to own source (uncompressed also).

Uncompressed audiofile have "bit perfect" by any way.

Audiophile file formats:

    flac - compressed;

    wav - non-compressed;

    wma (9.1 and later) - compressed.

Compression rate (compressed output / non-compressed source file size) of lossless audio codecs about 60-80%.
